Authentique's September Sketch

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  I went to a crop yesterday at The Scrapbook Princess.  I haven't been to a crop in a while.  It was good to get away, scrap and to see some friends.  This is Authentique's September Sketch and I really liked it.  This is a sketch I tend to shy away from, but I liked it some much I just had to try it.
I used Authentique's Curiosity collection. Can you tell that I am in love with this collection?  The picture was taken on the second day of school.  Noah got his first star student of the year.  Here is my layout:
Authentique Supplies Used:
Academic, Studious, and Learning pattern paper
Details and Elements sticker sheets

Other products I used was cardstock for the stars and a circle behind the Teacher's Pet sticker. I used a star punch for the stars. I hope you like it. Check out Authentique's blog. They have some awesome ideas and of course great product!! Have a great week!!

2 in 1 Layout

A couple of weeks ago I found Sketch-N-Scrap website.  They had a cute sketch that I really liked and knew exactly what picture I wanted to use.
With this sketch I used the collection "Hall Pass" by We R Memeory Keepers.  I used the paper No. 2 Pencil and Study Hall, stickers from the embossed sticker sheet, and "Top of the Class" tag.  For the title I used Foam Thickers from American Crafts called Eric.  I also used a piece of red cardstock.
I really liked the way this layout turned out. This was a great way to celebrate my son getting two star students in one day. He was so proud of himself and so were we. He even asked for me to take his picture!! Thanks for stopping by!!

14 Days

I did it! I finished the 14 days of the Big Idea Festival with Big Picture Classes. I am proud of myself for finishing. (Sorry I had to toot my own horn for a second.) I wanted to share a layout I did for one of the assignments. I had to use a big photo. If you know me I usually use a 4 x 6 photo. I used Bo Bunny's Timepiece Collection.

Happy Girl!

Yes, I am a happy girl. This past Saturday I got to go to my favorite store, The Scrapbook Princess!! There is nothing like going into a store and being surrounded by pretty paper! I picked up some items and a ton of Tattered Angels! I can't wait to play with it this weekend.
I am on the design team for TSP. This will be my second term. I am excited to be working with a great group of ladies. October 6th I will be teaching a layout class using Authentique's Enchanted. I love this collection! Here is a little sneak peak of the layout. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by!!

Project Life Week 36

Finally we are getting into a rountine around here.  Getting up earlier, going to bed earlier, doing homework, studying sight words, addition/subtraction facts and the list goes on and on! I have been volunterring at Noah's school and substitute teaching.  I have gotten behind on my project life.  Usually I have it completed the next day at the end of the week.  I LOVE Project Life!! I really wished I had discovered this before Noah was born! I love the details of it. I know one day when I am sitting with his children I can pull these out and show them! I use the We R Memory Keepers photo sleeves.  I am thinking about changing up for next year, maybe using products from Becky Higgins.  I am not sure.  If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!! The paper I use depends on the photos and my mood! This week I used the Story Teller Collection from Crate Paper .  (Thanks Mom!) The embellishments are also Crate Paper, but from the Neighborhood Collection.  Now that school has started I will choose 2 of Noah's daily papers from the week and put in between the sleeves. Hopefully this weekend I can get some layouts completed and get them posted for you! Thanks for stopping by!!

Behind the Times

I have never had a blog. I know. I am behind the times. It seems everyone has a blog. I have always been busy with work, family, and of course scrapbooking. Now with no job and my son is in school I have time. A friend saw my scrapbook layouts and suggested that I start sharing with the world. I don't claim to be an expert or some scrapbook goddess. I am always learning and I LOVE to learn new things. I have been scrapbooking since 2007. My mother brought me a scrapbook kit after my son was born and it sat on my shelf for 3 years. Finally out of bordom I did it. I made a mini album on my son's first year of life. I fell in love! I love the idea of celebrating the photo and being creative in my way. My son, Noah just started first grade. Here is a picture of the layout I did.

I used Authentique's Curiosity. I love the colors in this collection.  I entered this into Authentique's August Sketch challenge.
Here I am with my first blog! Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.
